Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking a Design Quality Engineer in Singapore to lead qualification testing for semiconductor equipment and to design accelerated life tests and stress tests for high-value components.

You will perform statistical and reliability analyses, evaluate quality with suppliers, and drive corrective actions. The role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, RCA skills, and effective communication in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of qualification testing, test planning, and instrumentation.
• Experience with statistical analysis and reliability methods including DOE, Cpk, t-test, regression, and reliability analysis.
• Proficient with Minitab and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop qualification test plans for new semiconductor equipment designs.
• Design and execute ALT and stress tests for high-value components.
• Perform statistical and reliability analyses using DOE, Cpk, t-test, and regression.
• Evaluate component and system-level quality with suppliers to drive improvements.
• Conduct RCA and coordinate troubleshooting with engineering teams.
• Track defects and ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Maintain 5S, lab safety, equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Prepare technical reports from qualification, test and reliability data.

Job Summary

• Working Hours: 5 days/week, 8:30am–5:30pm

Main Responsibilities

• Developing and executing qualification test plans for new semiconductor equipment designs based on customer use cases.

• Designing and implementing Accelerated Life Testing (ALT) and stress tests for high-value components.

• Performing statistical and reliability analysis using DOE, Cpk, t-test, regression, etc.

• Evaluating component and system-level quality and working with suppliers to drive quality improvements.

• Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting with engineering teams.

• Tracking defects identified during testing and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed.

• Maintaining 5S, laboratory safety, equipment maintenance, and calibration standards.

• Preparing technical reports based on qualification, test, and reliability data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of qualification testing, test planning, test instrumentation, and problem-solving.

• Experience with statistical analysis and reliability methods, especially:

• DOE

• Cpk

• t-test

• Regression

• Reliability analysis

• Proficient in Minitab and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong RCA, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
