Job summary

AEM, headquartered in Singapore, seeks a Reliability/Test Engineer to develop qualification plans, perform ALT tests, and analyze data for new product designs. You will collaborate with suppliers to improve component quality and drive systematic problem solving across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes maintaining lab standards, safety, calibration, and ongoing process improvements to boost product reliability and test effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in design quality, reliability engineering, or test engineering in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of qualification test planning, test instrumentation, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with statistical tools and methods such as DOE, Cpk, t-test, and reliability analysis.
• Proficient in Minitab and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute qualification test plans to validate new product designs against defined customer use cases and performance requirements.
• Support the design and implementation of Accelerated Life Testing (ALT) and stress testing methodologies to evaluate component reliability.
• Perform statistical analysis of test and reliability data (e.g., DOE, Cpk, regression analysis) and prepare clear, structured technical reports.
• Evaluate component and system-level quality, collaborating closely with suppliers to drive continuous quality improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting using structured methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, 8D) with cross-functional Engineering teams.
• Ensure defects identified during qualification testing are properly documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintain 5S standards and ensure proper housekeeping within the ALT laboratory environment.
• Conduct routine safety checks and support calibration, upkeep, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, test effectiveness, and process efficiency.
