Space Executive is seeking a Design Manager (Customer Solutions) based in Singapore to lead customer-facing design delivery for data centre projects across Southeast Asia. The role requires 10+ years in design consultancy with at least 5 years at principal engineer level, professional engineering or architectural certification, and bilingual English/Mandarin.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in design consultancy, with at least 5 years at principal engineer level.
• Professional Engineer or Registered Architect with practising certification preferred.
• Experience across Design Bid Build, Design & Build, and other delivery methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Willingness to travel regionally based on project requirements.

Aufgaben

• Manage multidisciplinary consultant teams across concurrent DC projects, covering town planning, architecture, civil and structural, MEP, environmental, LEED, and geotechnical disciplines.
• Develop design briefs and key metrics to ensure consistency in design quality and requirements across projects.
• Act as the primary interface with hyperscale customers on design variations, RFP responses, technical compliance, and SLA deviations.
• Drive design standardisation and advance decision-making to improve speed to market.
• Travel to project sites to ensure construction methodology, site coordination, and equipment performance meet design criteria.
• Initiate design improvements from lessons learnt and partner with suppliers and designers on safety, efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.

We’re partnering with a fast-growing data centre developer with an active pipeline across Southeast Asia to hire a Design Manager (Customer Solutions) based in Singapore.

This is a customer-facing design leadership role within the Design Delivery function, reporting to the VP of Design Delivery. You’ll manage a consortium of consultants and professional teams across concurrent greenfield and fit-out DC projects spanning regional metros — owning design quality, compliance, and delivery from brief through to customer handover.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage multidisciplinary consultant teams across concurrent DC projects — covering town planning, architecture, civil and structural, MEP, environmental, LEED, and geotechnical disciplines
• Develop design briefs and key metrics to ensure consistency in design quality and requirements across projects

What we’re looking for
