Job summary

A regional architecture firm in Singapore is seeking a senior architect to lead and develop an architectural team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 to 10 years of experience and a recognized degree in architecture. Responsibilities include supervising designs, resolving construction issues, and ensuring quality in project execution. Knowledge of local regulations and experience with BIM projects using REVIT architecture is essential.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading, mentoring and developing an architectural team
• Supervise the preparation of specifications and tendering documentations
• Create and oversee general design and project direction for projects across the country, overseas travel when necessary
• Design development of existing projects and evaluation with specific details on benchmark / competitive / winning projects
• Review and approve conceptual and schematic design and detail working drawings
• Supervision of construction and resolve technical issues
• Supervise the preparation of specifications and tendering documentations
• Plan and supervise authority submission requirements and procedure for projects

JOB COMPETENCY (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE)

• A recognized Degree in Architecture, preferably registered with the Board of Architects, Singapore
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant architectural experience
• Good knowledge of architectural details, working drawings and construction practices
• Strong knowledge and understanding of project, material and cost management;
• Proven knowledge in carpentry construction & technical detail drawings;
• Excellent in design presentation and human relation skill;
• Good team leader
• Conversant with local codes and regulations
• At least 1 year BIM project implementation experience with in-depth knowledge of REVIT architecture
