Job summary

SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a senior Design Coordination Manager for a large-scale hospital project in Singapore. You will lead design coordination across architectural, structural, M&E and specialist disciplines, ensuring timely, compliant design deliverables.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and authorities, manage RFIs and design changes, and drive BIM coordination to resolve clashes while maintaining project programme.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture or engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in design management or design coordination.
• Experience with hospital/healthcare or complex buildings advantageous.
• Familiarity with BIM/coordination tools (Revit, AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Lead design coordination activities for a large hospital project.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage the design development process from design through construction.
• Review submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate design interfaces between architectural, structural, M&E and other disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and shop/submission documents.
• Monitor design deliverables and approvals in line with the project programme.
• Coordinate with authorities on submissions, approvals and technical requirements.
• Manage RFIs and design-related issues raised by construction team.
• Coordinate design changes and ensure proper documentation and communication.
• Identify design clashes and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Lead BIM/design coordination and clash detection where applicable.
• Work with construction and planning teams to ensure timely design information for construction.
