A leading food and beverage company in Singapore is looking for a Design Executive to manage the design lifecycle from concept to implementation. You'll bridge operational and marketing needs while ensuring quality and budget compliance. Candidates should possess a diploma in interior design and have at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the F&B sector. Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in design software are essential.
Job Summary
At Paris Baguette, the Design Executive strategically bridges design excellence with operational and marketing needs, managing the entire design lifecycle from concept to implementation. This includes overseeing contractors, resolving technical issues, ensuring budget compliance, and reporting to senior management. They also drive innovation, stay updated on trends, and manage project administration, including feasibility, tendering, and regulatory approvals for interior fit-outs.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Develop key relationships (Marketing and Operations) by providing design solutions that met needs and budgets without compromising quality or design intent.
Manage contractors and the design process to ensure design excellence and quality, and that deliverables meet company standards and project briefs.
Resolve interior design issues and any other technical issues related to interior design in a timely manner.
Conduct brainstorming sessions, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
Conduct site visits as necessary to ensure implementation and compliance of key interior design items with approved design intent and direction.
Monitoring and reporting to senior management on the progress of interior design work on projects.
Constantly stay updated on the latest interior design trends to enhance ideas for design concepts and overall drawing perspectives.
Implementing an appropriate and effective project or programme management framework for corporate interior fit-out projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, project planning, tendering, contract, and project administration.
Liaising and obtaining authorities' approval at various stages of work.
Job Requirements
Min Diploma in interior design/facility management/project management.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Preferably with work experience in designing in the F&B industry or regional capacity.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
A passion for design and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Experience in managing contractors, vendors, partners, and internal teams such as operations and marketing.
