Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the position will leverage the knowledge of bioprocess container manufacturing and design in managing internal and customer large projects and providing winning solutions. This position will engage with the customer, operations, process, design, and quality engineering in researching and defining best practices in bioprocess container manufacturing. Capabilities and expertise on BPC hardware and single use products, product design, product components, manufacturing processes, applications, and industry requirements are essential as well as capabilities and understanding of creation and inspection of drawings, specifications, BOM’s, routings, and all other manufacturing documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform final drawing checks on product drawings mindful of product application and component specific design implications
  • Respond to technical inquiries from internal and external technical and sales specialists as required
  • Lead and coordinate team efforts to address projects and initiatives identified by management
  • Collaborate with R&D and Process Engineering on new component/connection/process specification and qualification
  • Drive process improvement through data driven activities
  • Complete and assist with TrackWise investigations and oversee CAPA tasks
  • Embrace the 4 I’s: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement in all daily activities

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Related Degree preferred
  • 3 years mechanical drafting experience (course work acceptable) preferred
  • Competent with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft and other office application software
  • A successful candidate will have strong skills in the following areas: written and verbal technical communication, interpersonal cross functional team based interaction, organization and detail oriented, analytical, planning and problem solving. Should also be intellectually curious and results oriented.
  • Must work well as a part of a team.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • 2+ yrs experience with Bioprocess Container product line design and applications or equivalent product engineering experience
