Job summary

A company specializing in event management and human resources seeks a Construction Design Engineer. The candidate will coordinate design works with various teams, prepare shop drawings, monitor design submissions, and address design calculations. This position requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and relevant industry experience, focusing on collaboration and problem-solving in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• At least Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of working experience in the construction design industry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Construction Teams, QP(D), QPS, LTA, and other sub-contractors for design works.
• Prepare Shop Drawings for temporary and permanent works.
• Monitor progress of design submission packages and ensure completion and efficiency.
• Review design calculations and provide necessary design calculations as per construction team requests.
• Resolve issues and escalate critical concerns to the Design Manager.

• Prepare Shop Drawings for temporary works and permanent works. Check shop drawings produced by sub-cons and seek clearance from QP(D) and LTA in-house design team.
• Monitor progress of design submission packages that are tasked by the design manager, check design for completion and efficiency.
• Review design calculations. Provide design calculations for miscellaneous designs(whenever necessary) as per construction team request and obtain PE endorsement.
• Resolve issues, provide insight and escalate critical concerns to the Design Manager.
