Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Mechanical/Project Engineer to design refrigeration systems, perform heat load calculations, and select equipment for chiller and cold room projects in Singapore.

You will produce 2D drawings, 3D rack layouts, and P&ID, prepare technical submittals and reports, and coordinate with production, R&D, suppliers, and customers. Regional travel and site meetings will be required to support commissioning and installation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, refrigeration or related field.
• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, cold room or project engineering preferred.
• Basic knowledge of heat load calculation, equipment selection and technical drawing prep.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience an advantage.
• Ability to understand and prepare technical drawings and P&ID.
• Willing to learn refrigeration system design and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform heat load calculations and cold room design for refrigeration projects.

• Assist in material planning, BOM, and project-related cost coordination as needed.
• Attend customer meetings or site discussions to explain designs and support installation.
• Regional travel to provide technical assistance to dealers, distributors and subsidiaries.

• Up till $4500 Basic + Bonus + AWS

• 5 days work week only

• Good in Mechanical Design using AUTOCAD or SOLIDWORKS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project

• Perform heat load calculation and cold room design for chiller, freezer, and other refrigeration applications

• Select suitable refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensing units, evaporators, controls, and related components

• Prepare technical documents such as technical submittals, equipment schedules, and design reports

• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D refrigeration rack assembly drawings, and P&ID

Coordination & Project Support

• Coordinate with the production team on refrigeration rack fabrication, piping arrangement, control panel requirements, and installation details

• Coordinate with the R&D team on evaporator design and related technical requirements

• Coordinate with the R&D team on heat exchanger design and related technical requirements

• Liaise with suppliers, consultants, contractors, customers, and internal teams to support smooth project execution

• Assist in material planning, BOM preparation, and project-related cost coordination where required

Customer & Site Support

• Attend customer meetings and site discussions when necessary to explain the proposed equipment and system design

• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution when required

• Work closely with customers and colleagues to clarify technical requirements and resolve project-related issues

• Regional travel is required to provide technical assistance and support to dealers, distributors, and subsidiaries.

Other

• Perform any other ad hoc tasks reasonably assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning, or related field

• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, cold room, or project engineering work is preferred

• Basic knowledge of heat load calculation, equipment selection, and technical drawing preparation

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Solidworks experience is an advantage

• Able to understand and prepare technical drawings and P&ID

• Willing to learn and grow in refrigeration system design and project engineering

• Willing to attend customer meetings or site visits when required
