Job summary

Samwoh in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure design for roads and viaducts. The role includes supervising drafting activities, developing designs, sketches, and calculation reports to support detailed drawings and cost estimates.

The candidate should hold a Civil Engineering degree (or diploma) and have at least 3 years of design experience, with familiarity of local standards.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years of design experience.
• Familiarity with local design codes and practices may be expected.
• Primavera P6 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Experienced in infrastructure design works mainly for road/viaduct projects.
• Supervision of drafting for the preparation of project documentation.
• Prepare designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials list and cost estimates as required.
• Assist in the preparation of technical detail for quotations, contract documentation and technical specifications.
• Prepare technical submissions for materials, construction methods and C&S shop drawings.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
• Participate in the planning of projects as required.
• Previous experience in the use and application of Appropriate Singapore local and international Standards for infrastructure design.
• Attend site inspection with required.
