Job summary

A dynamic engineering firm is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to manage design projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, experience in steel structure design, and familiarity with Eurocode and relevant engineering software. Responsibilities include preparing shop drawings, calculations, and liaising with contractors. Strong written and spoken English is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered Structural Steel Engineer (preferred).
• Familiar with Eurocode and Steel Structure design.

Responsibilities

• Carry out civil/structural design and manage project designs.
• Prepare calculations/plans for submissions and shop drawings.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and attend meetings.

Good command of written and spoken English

Job description

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out civil / structural design (knowledge in steel structure preferred)
• Prepare calculations / plans for submission to Main Contractor.
• Prepare shop drawings.
• Manage projects’ design
• Liaising with internal stakeholder on work procedure and design implications.
• Attend Projects & Consultants Meetings
• Providing technical advice
• Liaising with relevant professional staff such as Main Contractor’s ERSS QP/ AC

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Register Structural Steel Engineer (StEr) (Preferred)
• Familiar with Eurocode (Preferred)
• Background in construction design (Preferred)
• Familiar with Steel Structure design
• Familiar with Euro Code
• Familiar with Engineering Software
• Familiar with Autocad
• IT Literate able to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Good command of written and spoken English
