Job description

Note: This position will be hired under a subsidiary of Soilbuild Construction Group Ltd.

Job Responsibilities

1. In charge of Structural Coordinated Drawing Production (Concrete Body Plan)
2. Ensure accuracy and timely submission as per master program
3. Monitor design progress to ensure timely delivery of drawings and documents for construction stages
4. Review shop drawings
5. Supervise the drafting works related to design and coordinate for deliverables
6. Coordinate C&S designs and ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations
7. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment between C&S design and other disciplines
8. Resolve design issues on drawings and liaise closely with consultants and all disciplines
9. Resolve design issues during construction and provide technical support to site team
10. Liaise with clients, consultants, relevant authorities, and sub-contractors on structural issues
11. Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned

Technical Competencies:

1. Expertise in C&S engineering principles and design processes
2. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting structural design drawings and shop drawings
3. Knowledge of construction methodologies and how C&S design is implemented on-site

Skills & Knowledge:

1. Strong understanding of C&S design including steel, concrete, foundation, etc.
2. Well-versed with structural engineering design to local codes, regulations, and requirements and Eurocode
3. Well-versed in structural design software e.g., TSD, Staadpro, Prokon, etc.
4. Ability to manage design coordination between various disciplines

Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or its relevant
2. Minimum 3-5 years of local construction experience in C&S design coordination, preferably in industrial building projects
3. Capability to work under fast-track deliverables/projects and accommodation to changes
4. Will be required to travel to west region project site.
