Mandai Nature is a successful Singapore-based non-profit conservation organisation jointly set up by Temasek and Mandai Wildlife Group (which manages zoological parks including Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Asia). Mandai Nature is the conservation arm of Mandai Wildlife Group and was established with the aim of advancing efforts on biodiversity protection in Singapore and Asia. Through impactful programmes and innovative partnerships Mandai Nature strives to protect nature and inspire action.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the overall management and operations of the Asian Species Action Partnership (ASAP).

· Lead in the development and review of the ASAP Strategy and implementation of the annual workplans in line with the overall strategy.

· Report directly to the ASAP Governing Council including regular reports on progress towards the goals.

· Develop and manage partnerships and engagement with external stakeholders including donors and other strategic partners.

· Develop, manage and monitor the Secretariat budget in line with the approved workplan including operational and activity costs.

· Lead in the fundraising efforts, manage grants from external donors, overseeing contributions and expenditures, ensuring compliance with donor reporting and other requirements.

· Promote the development of ASAP, the work of ASAP Partners, and any opportunities for networking and information-sharing within the Partnership.

· Strengthen partnerships within the IUCN network, in particular the IUCN SSC Species Specialist Groups and Global Centre for Species Survival.

· Oversee the development of the Capacity Development component to strengthen capacity for ASAP Partners building on the ASAP capacity development report and roadmap.

· Other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Management, or International Relations. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

· At least 15 years of experience (preferably in a senior management role) within the conservation, environmental, or non-profit sectors, with a proven track record of successfully managing multi-stakeholder partnerships and operations.

· Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and work effectively with a diverse group of individuals and partners.

· Knowledge of conservation tools and strategies, particularly those related to species conservation, capacity development, and IUCN’s work.

· Understanding of donor reporting systems and compliance requirements, including familiarity with global conservation networks (such as IUCN SSC Species Specialist Groups).

· Passion for wildlife conservation and biodiversity with a strong understanding of the challenges faced in species protection and the need for collective action across sectors.
