Your role in our team in creating a sustainable future

Responsible for operating the integrated refinery safely, reliably, and efficiently.

  • Act as Site Incident Controller (SIC) for responsible area (Main/ South/ West), first responder to emergency situations with the response team.
  • Responsible for operating the assigned unit according to the production plan in respect to quantity and quality.
  • Responsible for executing daily orders related to efficiency and/or maintenance activities for the assigned unit.
  • Responsible for correctness, review, and improvement of assigned Operations NMS Work Procedures for the unit assigned.
  • Responsible for first-line troubleshooting with team members for the assigned unit.
  • Can be assigned to replace Shift Supervisor during their absence.

Responsible for people management and development.

  • Coordinating and assigning tasks for the assigned unit for day-to-day tasks of the shift team.
  • Responsible, on a daily basis, for ensuring the team is competent (Area to Operate certified) to occupy the job positions in close cooperation with Shift Supervisor and/or peer Deputy Shift Supervisor.

Other responsibilities

  • Inform/escalate to Shift Supervisor immediately on safety and/or utilization risks.
  • Responsible for leading, follow-up, reviewing, and improving assigned Task Risk Assessments for activities in the assigned area/unit(s).
  • Responsible for preparing and following up on PTW preparation including LOTO and Blinding for activities in the assigned area/unit(s).
  • Responsible for preparing and ensuring correct implementation of Interlock bypass, fire-impairment, and deficiency equipment for activities in the assigned area/unit(s).
  • Responsible for initiating and leading safety discussions with team members.
  • Responsible for reporting Incidents in the Synergi-life system related to incidents during his/her shift in the assigned unit.
  • Responsible for ensuring fault reports are entered correctly in the Bio+/SAP system.
  • Shift representative in the Daily Coordination Meeting (DCM).

Keys to success in this role

● Education: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or similar

● Experience: Minimum Polytechnic Diploma with 3 years of supervisory experience OR Higher NITEC with 5 years of supervisory experience OR GCE ‘O’ level with 8 years of supervisory experience
