Job Description

  • Gather, transform, and compile data changes from various sources and provide them to the Payroll Provider.

  • Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.

  • Handle statutory registration and de-registration with social security, labour, and tax authorities.

  • Process overtime payments in accordance with local laws and regulations.

  • Complete all post-payroll activities promptly and accurately, including reviewing and approving payroll funding bank files, submitting journal entries to Finance, and reconciling records and bank statements.

  • Verify payroll tax and social contribution filings for all legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in payments to employees, government agencies, and third-party providers (e.g., pensions, social security, health insurances).

  • Review and ensure timely submission of employer tax filings on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc basis.

  • Maintain payroll records, perform data audits, and ensure records are compliant with corporate and statutory requirements. Conduct regular checks and true-ups to support employee lifecycle changes.

  • Serve as the point of contact for payroll queries and updates.

  • Collaborate with outsourced vendors to improve payroll processing efficiency, identify system/process gaps, propose solutions, document change requests, and coordinate implementation with stakeholders.

  • Manage payroll-related queries from internal and external auditors and tax authorities.

  • Review statutory government claims submissions processed by the Payroll Vendor, such as NSmen pay, maternity leave, paternity leave, and childcare leave.

  • Create, develop, and maintain payroll process documentation and improvements.

  • Perform internal staff cost recharging and accruals.

  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by your supervisor or department head.
