Role Overview:
The Deputy Manager, Content will be responsible for creating high quality, engaging, and brand-aligned content to support GIIS’s marketing, admissions, and communication objectives. This includes writing for multiple platforms; websites, blogs, newsletters, social media, and marketing collateral, liaising with affiliates, and developing event-related content. The role involves close coordination with marketing, academics, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop compelling, original content that reflects GIIS’s brand voice and positioning.
- Write and edit: Website content and optimised landing page copy Ad copies for Google Ads and other performance marketing channels
- Social media posts for both organic and paid campaigns
- Long-form and short-form articles, blogs, and press releases
- Email newsletters and event-related materials
- Liaise with affiliates to create customised content supporting joint marketing and promotional efforts.
- Create event-related content, including invitations, event pages, presentations, and post-event summaries.
- Collaborate with academics and sales teams to ensure content aligns with school programmes, student achievements, and enrolment goals.
- Ensure all content is SEO-optimised and aligned with digital marketing strategies.
- Proofread and edit content for accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
- Research education sector trends and competitor positioning to develop relevant content ideas.
- Maintain the school’s content library and repurpose content for different channels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 4–8 years of professional writing experience, preferably in education or related sectors.
- Strong command of English with excellent grammar and editing skills.
- Familiarity with SEO and digital content best practices.
Skilled in producing both long-form and short-form content tailored to different platforms. - Experience in writing ad copies for Google Ads and other performance marketing channels.
- Ability to create and manage social media posts for both organic and paid campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and other CMS platforms for updating website content.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and adaptable to different writing styles.
Preferred:
- Experience in writing for international schools or education institutions.
