NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) fosters a lifelong relationship between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and its alumni. It provides a platform for alumni to stay connected with the University and each other through various programmes, events, and networking opportunities. OAR supports alumni in their personal and professional development, encouraging their involvement in university initiatives and community service. By promoting a vibrant and engaged alumni network in Singapore and globally, OAR aims to strengthen the NUS community, enhance its reputation, and contribute to the university's mission of excellence in education, research, and service to society.
Job Responsibilities:
Management
- Lead and manage teams in the areas of Singapore alumni engagement and strategic events.
- Build a warm, collaborative and supportive team dynamic within a high-performance work environment.
- Ensure prudent and effective allocation of resources while maintaining cost control and financial sustainability.
- Develop and implement alumni engagement strategies for Singapore-based alumni to strengthen the relationship between the University and its alumni community.
- Align alumni engagement objectives with the University's overall strategic goals.
Programme & Event Management
- Lead and deliver high priority initiatives to demonstrate expertise and serve as a role model.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality events and programmes that enhance alumni participation and affinity with the University.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, faculties, and external partners to develop meaningful alumni engagement opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Strengthen relationships with alumni, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to enhance engagement opportunities.
- Oversee the development of targeted event and programme marketing efforts for outreach to alumni.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Singapore-based alumni engagement efforts.
- Analyse engagement data and provide insights to refine and enhance programmes and events.
- Prepare regular reports on alumni engagement outcomes and trends.
Qualifications:
- Masters' or Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in communications, alumni relations, corporate engagement, event management, or a related field, with at least 10 years in a management role.
- Comfortable working in a complex, matrix, multinational high-performance environment.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented in planning and project management abilities.
- Exceptional communication, EQ and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget planning and control.
- Culturally effective with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholders.
- Motivated, proactive and results-driven personality; able to drive innovation in alumni engagement.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for alumni activities as required.
