What the role is:

The jobholder will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the procurement function, building projects, and organisation management strategies within MOM. He/she will be responsible for driving procurement excellence, effective project management, and optimizing organisational operations to support strategic objectives.

What you will be working on:

• Drive cost-efficient procurement strategies while upholding compliance standards
• Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement and OM team, ensuring compliance to the Government Instruction Manual
• Oversee workplace safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of workplace safety and well-being for all MOM officers
• Drive workplace sustainability efforts, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, environmental sustainability practices, while ensuring an inclusive workplace
• Manage office upgrading and renovation projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, budget management, and timely completion of renovation projects
• Oversee office relocation projects, including planning, coordination, and execution to ensure a smooth transition for MOM officers
• Oversee office maintenance activities, including repairs, maintenance contracts, and facility management to ensure a safe and functional work environment
• Oversee the management of mail dispatch operations
• Oversee Business Contingencies Planning activities

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in any field
• At least 15 years of experience in procurement and project management, preferably in the public sector
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role
• Knowledge in regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and contract management
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and efficiently with multiple stakeholders
• A team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and attentive to details
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure to meet tight timelines
• Versatile and adaptable in a complex operational environment
