Job description

What the role is:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Deputy Director (Administration) and Head (Procurement). In this role, you will play a pivotal role to lead and manage teams, strategies, processes, projects and initiatives for the provision of Corporate Services in MTI, in the domains of Facilities, Infrastructure and Sustainability (FIS), Procurement Services (PRS) and Safety and Security (S&S) teams.

What you will be working on:

Operationalise and implement COD-Admin’s and COD-Procurement’s annual workplans and key work deliverables, projects and initiatives, ensuring that all expected deliverables for COD-Admin and COD-PRS are met.
Oversee and manage the Procurement Services in MTI in terms of strategy, processes, and operations, ensuring that Procurements from MTI-Divisions are carried out in accordance with the relevant Instruction Manuals (IMs) and Finance Circular Memos (FCMs), and, the continual relevance and effectiveness of Procurement’s processes and practices in MTI.
Carry out the role as MTI’s representative for the WOG’s GreenGov.SG Committee on sustainability and function as secretariat for MTI's Sustainability Work Group and collaborate with GreenGov.SG committee and MTI's Divisions to operationalise related requirements and carry out related initiatives on sustainability in MTI.

What we are looking for:

Management and supervisory experience in managing teams.
Good planning, organising and implementing skills.
Experienced practitioner in Government Procurement including in relevant requirements and processes.
Experience in developing and implementing workplans.
Ability to handle multiple issues concurrently (problem-solving skills).
Good communications and interpersonal relations skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in Facilities and Infrastructure including in Office Space Management.
Knowledge in implementing sustainability efforts and initiatives.
Knowledge in Business Continuity Planning and National Emergency Planning.
