Job description

Main duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for co-leading the development and implementation of innovative surgical robotic systems.

The role involves hands-on and overseeing core control system and algorithm development, safety enhancement, performance fine tune, ensuring compliance with medical regulations and guiding the integration of advanced technologies into surgical practices.

The candidate must posses a strong background in medicine and technology, combined with leadership experience in managing cross functional teams including strategic planning, collaboration with overseas engineering teams and excellent communication skills with healthcare personals, regulatory bodies and industry partners.

Qualifications:

  • Master/PhD degree in mechanical engineering or Robotics from reputable universities
  • A minimum of 7 years experience and track record on laparoscopic surgical robotic control system development with exposure of clinical trials, analysis, research and medical product regulatory and approval.
  • 3+ years technical leadership experience including requirement definition, architecture, design, testing, safety and risk analysis.
  • Good understand and knowledge of medical device industry particularly surgical robotics.
  • With ability to travel up to 50% of the time is required.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin speaking is a must.
