Job summary

JPS MANPOWER PTE. LTD. is seeking a dental assistant in Singapore to support the dentist during chairside procedures and ensure patient comfort. Fresh graduates are welcome; on-the-job training will be provided to meet MOH and clinic protocols.

You will prepare instruments, assist with radiographs, manage check-ins, and help with billing and records while upholding confidentiality and high service standards. The role includes 44 hours weekly with a 3-month probation.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates welcome; minimum 1 year experience in dental assisting is not required, training provided.
• Assist the dentist during chairside procedures to ensure smooth operations and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during chairside procedures and dental treatments to ensure smooth operations and patient comfort.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment following MOH and clinic protocols for safety and compliance.
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout procedures.
• Mix and prepare dental materials as required for treatments.
• Assist in taking dental radiographs to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out processes to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and clinic services to promote oral health.
• Discuss treatment plans and provide clear explanations of procedures and costs to patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold service standards at all times.
• Answer phone calls and respond to WhatsApp or online inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments, coordinating follow-ups and recalls to optimize clinic workflow.
• Maintain clinic inventory by performing stock checks and ordering supplies as needed to ensure availability.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with data entry to support clinical documentation and compliance.
• Comply with MOH and regulatory guidelines for clinical documentation and record-keeping.
• Assist with billing, payment collection, and issuing receipts and invoices to ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of clinical and reception areas according to SOPs and infection control protocols.
• Assist with daily clinic opening and closing routines to support operational readiness.
• Support marketing and community outreach events such as distributing flyers and conducting dental talks.
• Participate actively in training sessions, team meetings, and performance reviews to contribute to continuous improvement.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the clinic manager or dentist to support clinic operations.
