Job summary

Elevate Dental is a patient-centred practice at Novena Medical Centre in Singapore seeking a Dental Receptionist cum Dental Assistant. The role rotates between reception and clinical duties to support smooth operations and deliver excellent patient care in a growing, flexible team.

You will generally focus on one function at a time, with cross-training to cover both front desk and clinical operations as needed. Training provided; no night shifts and a friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in reception, customer service, clinic administration, or hospitality is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves regular communication with patients.
• Prior dental experience is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and participate actively in dental assisting duties.
• A good team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Reception & Patient Service: Greet patients warmly and professionally to create a positive first impression.
• Reception & Patient Service: Manage appointment scheduling and update clinic calendars accurately.
• Reception & Patient Service: Answer phone calls promptly and respond to patient enquiries clearly.
• Reception & Patient Service: Assist patients with appointment bookings, changes, and follow-ups.
• Reception & Patient Service: Process patient registration, payments, and basic billing transactions.
• Reception & Patient Service: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and administrative records.
• Reception & Patient Service: Keep the reception area clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Reception & Patient Service: Support general administrative and clinic tasks as needed.
• Dental Assisting: Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and materials efficiently.
• Dental Assisting: Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments before and after procedures.
• Dental Assisting: Clean, disinfect, and sterilise dental instruments following clinic protocols.
• Dental Assisting: Assist with X-rays and other procedures when trained and authorised.
• Dental Assisting: Monitor and replenish dental and clinical supplies to ensure readiness.
• Dental Assisting: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas for safety and efficiency.
• Dental Assisting: Prepare rooms and instruments promptly for the next patient.
• Dental Assisting: Support daily clinical operations to ensure smooth workflow.
