Job summary

Beam Dental Punggol seeks a Dental Assistant to support chairside procedures and front desk tasks. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, set up materials, and assist the dentist during procedures, including suction, instrument handing, and retraction.

The role includes taking and developing X-rays, maintaining infection control, documenting patient information, and providing postoperative instructions as directed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures (sterilize and arrange instruments, set up materials).
• Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, operating suction devices, and retracting patients’ cheeks or tongue.
• Mix dental materials such as impression compounds, cements, or fillings.
• Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs).
• Maintain infection control by following sterilization and disinfection protocols.
• Record patient treatment information in charts or computer systems.
• Provide postoperative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist.
• Apply topical anesthetics or fluoride treatments (in some states/countries where permitted).
