About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Demi Chef to join our dynamic team at Marymount Bakehouse Singapore's sourdough cafe in the Central Region. As a Demi Chef, you will play a vital role in crafting and executing our delectable sourdough and pasta-based culinary offerings. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment and contribute to the ongoing success of our acclaimed bakehouse.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a variety of sourdough breads, pasta dishes and other cafe specialities
  • Ensure consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
  • Maintain a clean and organised work station, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with front-of-house duties as needed
  • What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Demi Chef or equivalent position in a fast-paced, high-quality cafe or restaurant environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in sourdough bread and pasta making, with a keen eye for detail and food presentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen and service teams
  • Passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients and creating innovative, flavourful dishes
