Job summary

YETI in Singapore is seeking a Class 3/4 Delivery Driver to transport goods from hubs to outlets, offices, and residential areas with a focus on timeliness and safe handling. The role involves picking and packing, loading and unloading, and performing ad hoc warehouse or route-planning tasks.

Candidates should be mindful of road safety, traffic rules, and vehicle maintenance, with familiarity of Singapore routes considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Providing Delivery Services: Transport goods safely and efficiently to delivery locations and ensure timely delivery based on schedule.
• Delivery of Goods to Outlets, Commercial, Residential, and Industrial Areas (Clustered): Deliver to retail stores, offices, factories and homes; manage clustered deliveries.
• Pick and Pack of Goods onto Pallets: Prepare and organize goods for delivery; ensure items are packed, labeled and secured on pallets.
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, using pallet jacks or trolleys as needed and prevent damage.
• Other Ad Hoc Duties as Assigned: Assist in warehouse operations, route planning or vehicle-related tasks as required.
• Ensure Safe Handling of Goods: Follow best practices for fragile, perishable or hazardous items; use PPE and verify load security.
• Practice Safe Driving: Use defensive driving, maintain safe speeds, and avoid distractions.
• Observe Safe Work Procedures: Follow SOPs, lifting techniques, and stay aware of surroundings during deliveries.
• Comply with Traffic Rules and Regulations: Obey traffic laws, maintain documentation, and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Singapore Roads: Knowledge of major expressways; navigate with GPS/maps and plan alternate routes to avoid congestion.
• Ensure Vehicle is Taken Care of: Conduct daily checks, report issues, and keep vehicle clean and well-maintained.

• Providing Delivery Services:Responsible for transporting goods from the warehouse or distribution center to designated delivery locations safely and efficiently.
  Ensure timely delivery based on the assigned schedule.
• Delivery of Goods to Outlets, Commercial, Residential, and Industrial Areas (Clustered):Deliver products to various locations, including retail stores, food establishments, offices, factories, and residential areas.
  Handle multiple deliveries within designated zones efficiently (clustered delivery).
• Pick and Pack of Goods onto Pallets:Assist in preparing and organizing goods for delivery.
  Ensure that items are correctly packed, labeled, and securely placed on pallets for safe transportation.
• Loading and Unloading:Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  Use manual handling equipment (such as pallet jacks, electric pallet trucks, or trolleys) when necessary.
• Other Ad Hoc Duties as Assigned:Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors or managers, such as assisting in warehouse operations, route planning, or vehicle-related duties.

Job Responsibilities (Class 3/4 Driver):

• Ensure Safe Handling of Goods:Follow best practices when handling fragile, perishable, or hazardous items.
  Use protective equipment like gloves or harnesses when required.
  Double-check load security before transportation.
• Practice Safe Driving:Adhere to defensive driving techniques to minimize risks on the road.
  Maintain appropriate speed limits and adapt to different road conditions.
  Avoid distractions such as mobile phone usage while driving.
• Observe Safe Work Procedures while Delivering Goods to Customers:Follow company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent workplace accidents.
  Be mindful of lifting techniques to avoid injuries.
  Maintain awareness of surroundings while maneuvering the vehicle, especially in tight spaces or crowded areas.
• Comply with Traffic Rules and Regulations:Abide by all traffic laws, including speed limits, parking rules, and load restrictions.
  Ensure compliance with LTA (Land Transport Authority) and NEA (National Environment Agency) regulations where applicable.
  Maintain proper documentation such as delivery orders, invoices, and vehicle inspection reports.
• Familiarity with Singapore Roads is an Added Advantage:Knowledge of major expressways (PIE, CTE, AYE, etc.) and common delivery routes.
  Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps while considering road restrictions.
  Awareness of alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion and ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure Vehicle is Taken Care of in Terms of Cleanliness, Maintenance, and Condition:Conduct daily vehicle checks before and after trips (brakes, lights, fuel, tires, etc.).
  Report any malfunctions or damages to the fleet maintenance team.
  Keep the vehicle clean, both inside and outside, to maintain professionalism and hygiene standards.
