Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivery Operations:

1. Safely transport goods from the warehouse to designated destinations, ensuring they arrive in excellent condition.
2. Deliver products to multiple locations per trip, optimizing routes for efficiency and fuel savings.
3. Pick, pack, load, and unload goods onto pallets or into delivery vehicles with care.
4. Verify orders before leaving the warehouse to ensure accurate delivery to customers.
5. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and supervisors regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road.

2. Safe Driving & Traffic Compliance:

1. Strictly adhere to traffic regulations and company driving policies.
2. Follow safe driving habits and defensive driving techniques to minimize the risk of accidents.
3. Utilize GPS navigation and knowledge of Singapore’s road network to find the best routes for timely deliveries.
4. Report any road incidents, accidents, or vehicle-related issues to management immediately.

3. Vehicle Maintenance & Upkeep:

1. Conduct daily vehicle checks before and after trips (e.g., tire pressure, brakes, oil, coolant, lights).
2. Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained for safe and smooth operations.
3. Report any mechanical issues promptly for servicing and repairs.

4. Workplace Safety & Compliance:

1. Follow workplace safety standards and adhere to safe lifting techniques when handling goods.
2. Wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety boots and gloves when required.
3. Comply with company policies regarding cargo security, proper handling of perishable or fragile items, and proper stacking of goods to prevent damage.
4. Assist in other warehouse or logistics-related tasks when required by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

1. Possess a valid Class 3/4 driving license with a clean driving record.
2. Familiarity with Singapore’s road network, expressways, and industrial estates.
3. Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy goods as part of daily tasks.
4. Prior experience in logistics, delivery, or transportation is advantageous.
5. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
6. Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
7. Willing to work early mornings, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
