Job summary

The Energy Studies Institute at the National University of Singapore invites researchers to join a multi-disciplinary team conducting research on energy policy and decarbonisation relevant to Singapore and the region.

The role covers technical and policy reviews, energy systems decarbonisation analyses, stakeholder engagement, and the organisation of seminars, workshops and conferences under the Head of Division.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in engineering, science, economics, management science or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python, Matlab, Stata.
• Experience in life cycle assessment, emissions accounting or energy systems modelling preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical and policy reviews of energy and decarbonization, including low-carbon tech development and green energy supply chains.
• Perform energy and environmental decarbonization analyses, including technology assessments, emissions accounting, and energy systems optimization for Singapore and the region.
• Engage with stakeholders and organize seminars, workshops and conferences; undertake related administrative duties.
