Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is seeking a data centre engineer to join the global infrastructure team in Singapore. You will manage the physical build and operation of data centres and co-location estates, coordinating with international vendors to deliver high-performance infrastructure for trading activities.

The role covers BAU maintenance and new projects, with travel both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data centre and financial markets co-location ecosystems in Asia Pacific.
• Experience working with third parties to successfully execute changes.
• Ability to build physical infrastructure to a clear, maintainable standard.
• Excellent documentation skills ensuring builds and designs are well documented.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Multilingual ability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Your future role within QRT:

The successful candidate will join the global infrastructure team at QRT. You will be responsible for working in a team of data centre engineers responsible for the physical build and operation aspects of QRT data centres and co-location estate. This data centre estate supports the firms research and is a core part of delivering our infrastructure services, which deliver the highest performance computing and data platforms for the firm. Our co-location estate is global in nature and supports our trading infrastructure which is in every major financial market across the world.

You will be accountable for the physical work and logistical aspects of data centre and co-location build outs, working closely with several global third-party providers and will ensure that implementations meet the highest operational and security standards. The role will cover BAU maintenance as well as new project work.

The nature of the role will involve domestic and international travel.

Your present skillset

• You will have good knowledge of data centre and financial markets exchange co-location vendor eco systems across the Asia Pacific region
• You have experience of working with 3rd parties to successfully execute change
• You take pride in building physical infrastructure to a clear, maintainable standard
• You have excellent documentation skills ensuring that data centres builds and designs are fully documented
• You have the desire to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• The ability to speak multiple languages is an advantage
