Job description

The Infrastructure Group Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for influencing and guiding the regional APAC Data Center teams that ensures efficient and effective Citi infrastructure in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct interaction with senior APAC business leaders and client representatives to ensure business alignment including CTI Region Lead, Global Digital Resilience, Production Support, Citi Real Estate Services, Internal Audit, Citi Security and Informational Services.
  • Lead data center planning and regional forecasting initiatives to achieve business goals by prioritizing and implementing data center technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Chief Technology Office to formulate data center hosting strategies for strategic emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, multi-cloud on-prem/off-prem platforms and automation of infrastructure and information asset lifecycle management.
  • Direct interaction with regional regulatory entities and oversight of regulatory compliance as it pertains to data center services.
  • Engagement, oversight and tracking of all Third-Party service review meetings highlighting areas of improvement, controls in place and future planned changes.
  • Provide and detail Technology Environments to both Internal and External Auditors including regulatory engagement to meet requirements and provide information to demonstrate Citi’s data center environmental status, plans and robust controls.
  • Establish meaningful metrics and management reports for the regions' data centers, as well as global alignment with peer regions.
  • Collaborate with Real Estate Services(RES) and Citigroup Security and Investigative Services (CSIS) leadership to coordinate end-to-end data center and facilities management audit preparation including process documentation of self-identified issues (SII), evidence collection, facility inspections, findings response and post audit action plans.
  • Conduct work on a variety of high-impact, high-profile problems/projects such as creating complex project plans and conducting project-related research.
  • Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses, technical guidance and direction and identify and monitor key indicators to gauge performance and identify trends.
  • Perform impact analyses, design testing approaches and be responsible for applications dealing with the overall operating system.
  • Identify and resolve issues, engaging in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Conduct responsibilities such as quality control, work allocation, coaching/mentoring, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate controls to help mitigate negative outcomes through prevention, detection and correction.
  • Design and create complex processes and reporting streams, participate in the review and approval of requirement documents.
  • Examine and update processes and procedures for hardware acquisition toward automation.
  • Understand diverse stakeholder needs and share and influence stakeholder expectations.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • 10+ years direct interaction with regulatory entities including Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC), China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), and Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan.
  • Experience implementing at global enterprise scale hosting strategies for Artificial Intelligence, high density computing, containerized applications, on-prem cloud, network for burst to cloud and modular data center design.
  • Applied subject matter expertise in data center strategic planning, DC capacity management, DC lifecycle management, power assurance, colocation management, data center mechanical and electrical plant maintenance and upkeep.
  • Experience in managing projects, leading operational process change and improvement and delivering infrastructure technologies products and services.
  • Experience in financial services or large complex and/or global environment preferred.
  • Experience developing projects for the identification of best practices (design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting). Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven analytical, diagnostic and multitasking skills with focus on execution and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to both work independently and partner with virtual teams in a high-pressure matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of various parts of a project/initiative with tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectation/requirements.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
