You will drive 24x7 availability, implement DevOps for automated deployments, and collaborate across regions to shape technology roadmaps while leveraging Python, Java, and modern data tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years in enterprise database administration & engineering, plus 2+ years in software engineering or LLM/AI apps.
• Expertise with Sybase ASE/IQ, MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Cosmos DB and distributed NoSQL.
• Experience across Azure, AWS, GCP and Linux/Windows with shell scripting.
• Proficient in Python, Java, Go, Ansible, Git, Azure DevOps, Windsurf and Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Support and engineer enterprise database platforms to ensure 24x7 availability for financial systems.

organ McKinley is hiring a Database Engineer (Operations) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be engaged in global operations and engineering strategy for mission-critical database platforms supporting the business and other financial systems.

JobResponsibilities:

• Support and engineer enterprise database platforms (OLTP, OLAP, Data Warehousing, NoSQL) to ensure 24x7 availability and resiliency for mission-critical financial systems.
• Drive operational efficiency across hybrid environments by building custom toolsets and leveraging LLM tools (Windsurf, Copilot) using Python, Perl, and Java.
• Standardize and implement modern DevOps methodologies for automated database deployments, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Optimize database platform performance while maintaining strict adherence to security protocols and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Partner with global infrastructure, application, and business teams to influence technology roadmaps and conduct strategic architecture reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4 years in enterprise database administration & engineering, along with 2+ years in software engineering or LLM/AI applications.
• Expertise in platforms including Sybase ASE/IQ, MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Cosmos DB, distributed NoSQL, and replication tools like HVR/Fivetran.
• Hands-on experience across cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and operating systems (Linux, Windows), including advanced shell scripting and performance analysis.
• Proficient in languages and tools (Python, Java, Go, Ansible, Git, Azure DevOps, Windsurf, Copilot) with a strong problem-solving and data-driven mindset.
