Job Description

Rockwell Automation has a position available for a Data Scientist to support supply chain programs and systems, consolidating and analyzing unstructured, diverse "big data" sources to create actionable insights. You will collaborate with supply chain and data teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments, support the development and coding of software programs and algorithms, and identify findings from AI/ML to share with partners.

You will report to a senior manager based in the United States of America.

Responsibilities:
  • Support development of AI/ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with supply chain subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate them into AI/ML solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to evaluate their potential applications.
  • Develop testing and validation strategies to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and safety of AI/ML models.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept studies and pilot projects to assess the viability of AI/ML approaches.
  • This is a hybrid position requiring presence at the office three days a week.
Qualifications: Essential:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP in a manufacturing operational setting.
  • Knowledge of data mining techniques and ability to integrate large datasets with clear outcomes.
  • Programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Experience with Generative AI concepts and techniques.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Note: This role does not include managerial responsibilities.
