Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to build AI-driven solutions, including genAI copilots and RAG-based recommendations. You will scale machine learning models, work with large-scale data, and translate insights into compelling data stories while collaborating across teams on cloud and real-time data platforms.

The role requires a degree in a quantitative field and 6–12 years of hands-on data science experience, with strong Python and ML library skills, plus SQL

• Degree in Computer Science/Data Science/Statistics or related quantitative field.
• 6–12 years hands-on data science experience.
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Familiarity with SQL.

• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deploy AI-driven solutions for genAI copilots, recommendations, RAG and etc
• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML

• Develop compelling data stories through advanced visualization and storytelling techniques
• Partner with cross-functional teams to co-create innovative solutions using the latest in cloud, ML Ops, and real-time data platforms
• You may need to manage a team, depending on your seniority

Who You Are

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• 6-12 years of hands-on experience in data science
• Proficient in Python and modern ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn); familiarity with SQL
• Experience with deep learning, NLP, or reinforcement learning, and exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and experimentation
