Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore seeks an experienced Data Scientist to join a dynamic team shaping the future of banking through AI, ML, and GenAI. You will work across multiple domains to turn data into insights and value.

The ideal candidate has 6–12 years of hands-on data science experience, strong Python skills, and experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Spark. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable models and data stories.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related quantitative field.
• 6–12 years hands‑on experience in data science.
• Proficient in Python and ML libraries; familiarity with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-driven solutions across multiple business domains.
• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML frameworks.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deploy AI-driven solutions for genAI copilots, recommendations, RAG and etc
• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML
• Explore and apply Agentic AI concepts to automate decision‑making and enhance customer engagement
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data across multiple domains
• Develop compelling data stories through advanced visualization and storytelling techniques
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to co‑create innovative solutions using the latest in cloud, ML Ops, and real‑time data platforms
• You may need to manage a team, depending on your seniority

Who You Are

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• 6-12 years of hands‑on experience in data science
• Proficient in Python and modern ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn); familiarity with SQL
• Experience with deep learning, NLP, or reinforcement learning, and exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and experimentation
