Shift Technology in Singapore is offering a full-time, on-site Data Science internship for six months starting January or February 2027. The role focuses on building data processing pipelines, data cleaning, information extraction, and calibrating fraud detection models.

You'll collaborate with clients to tailor solutions, conduct R&D in machine learning, NLP, image analysis, and trend analysis, and present findings to non-technical audiences.

Competenze

• Recent graduate or final-year student in Mathematics, Statistics, Software Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning.
• Experience in object-oriented programming and production-quality code; C# is a plus.
• Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning concepts; able to explain results to non-technical audiences.

The Data Science Team:

The Data Science team works on a broad range of subjects. We actively participate in the definition and development of our suite of products on fraud detection, anti-money laundering and claim automation. We have a lot of technical and professional experience in data science, data engineering, coding, business understanding and client interactions. Additionally, we also work on various data types such as structured data, free text, documents and images.

• Setting up and deploying data processing pipelines, such as data reception (batch or real-time), data cleaning, information extraction, and calibration of fraud detection models.
• Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and incorporating their feedback to enhance our solutions.
• Conducting R&D to drive product innovation (machine learning, NLP, image analysis, trend analysis, chatbots, etc.).

Your profile and requirements:

• You are either a recent graduate or in the final year of a bachelor’s or master’s program in Mathematics, Statistics, Software Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning.
• You have experience in object-oriented programming (OOP) such as prior internship, school and/or personal projects so you can write production quality code. An experience using C# is a plus.
• You have a clear understanding of statistics and machine learning problems and common resolutions.
• You are able to articulate your thoughts and findings clearly to non-technical audiences.

This internship requires a full-time, on-site commitment for a duration of six months, starting in January or February 2027.
