Qualifications

  • 8-10 years experience in Financial Institutions preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of UK GDPR, Singapore PDPC, and HK PDPO.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum teams is beneficial.

Job Summary

Support the Product Owner & team with activities required for reducing risk and sustaining a low-risk environment related to Privacy, Record Keeping, and Data Sovereignty risks. These activities include, but are not limited to:

Job Duties
  • Successful and timely delivery of the associated Risk Treatment Plan (RTP).
  • Implementation of standards in BAU.
  • Execution and maintenance of controls/frameworks for compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration with Central Data Office (CDO) and Data Shield Programme (DSP) to roll out centralized enablers for risk reduction and standards implementation.
  • Develop understanding of current data, processes, and systems for CIB CC and FM.
  • Support key milestones for CC and FM in line with data risk objectives, including delivering RTP, completing remediations, and implementing standards.
  • Perform Data Discovery exercises and complete mandatory artifacts.
  • Conduct Gap Analysis against Data Standards.
  • Coordinate reviews and sign-offs with stakeholders such as GPO, RFO, and operational teams.
  • Carry out Business Impact Assessments on tools/enablers delivered by DSP/CDO.
  • Design Target Operating Models conforming to Data Standards and identify business solutions.
  • Support change management activities, including training and operational guidance.
  • Engage effectively with business stakeholders across geographies, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Build relationships with programme and business counterparts.
  • Collaborate within and outside the team to ensure timely, quality deliverables.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Data Risk Squad to reduce data risks and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support governance forum setup and maintenance.
  • Lead squads for requirements gathering, design, testing, training, and implementation.
  • Propose and set KPIs/KPMs.
  • Support mechanisms for early risk identification and resolution.
  • Design Target Operating Model, Business Impact Assessment, and implement tools/enablers.
  • Perform feasibility and options analysis for standards implementation.
  • Validate deliveries post-deployment and ensure operational and business requirements are met.
  • Deepen understanding of Data Conduct standards for Privacy, Sovereignty, and Record Keeping for CIB CC and FM.
  • Facilitate standard and addenda operationalization for CIB CC and FM.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in or consulting for Financial Institutions, with knowledge of banking processes preferred.
  • Relevant project management certifications.
  • Experience with mapping complex processes to regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Experience designing solutions to meet policy and regulatory standards, collaborating with technology teams.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage stress, and adapt to change.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge of privacy laws/regulations in UK (GDPR), Singapore (PDPC), and Hong Kong (PDPO), including guidelines from regulators like ICO.
  • Experience working with business, compliance, and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work independently.
  • High attention to detail and focus on solution design and implementation.
  • Effective relationship-building across functions and borders.
  • Good presentation, time management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
