Job summary

U3 INFOTECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a data migration and reporting specialist to support our analytics initiatives in Singapore. You will leverage SQL and scripting to validate data, map source-to-target transformations, and ensure data quality across migration projects.

You'll work with BRDs and FSDs, design test scenarios, conduct UAT and regression testing, and help production readiness through rigorous data validation and defect management.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL, Python and/or SAS for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in data migration, data warehouse, data lake, BI, reporting, or analytics testing.
• Experience performing source-to-target reconciliation and data validation.
• Experience testing complex business rules, calculations, and reporting outputs.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in SQL, Python and/or SAS for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
• Analyse large datasets and validate source-to-target data mappings, transformation logic, calculation logic, and business rules.
• Review BRD, FSD, user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand requirements and testing scope.
• Design test scenarios, test cases, data, and execution plans for data migration, reporting, and business process validation.
• Execute UAT, regression testing, retesting, and parallel run testing activities.
• Perform source-to-target reconciliation and validate migrated datasets, reports, dashboards, KPIs, and report outputs against legacy systems.
• Validate end-to-end data flow across ingestion, transformation, data pipelines, and reporting platforms.
• Identify, investigate, reproduce, and document defects with evidence and impact assessment.
• Assess whether issues are due to system defects, data quality, migration defects, or requirement gaps.
• Perform regression testing and retesting after defect resolution.
• Support reconciliation sign-off, testing sign-off, and production readiness activities.

Job description

We are looking to hire someone who can support us on Data Migration & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proficient in SQL, Python and/or SAS for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.

2. Analyse large datasets and validate source-to-target data mappings, transformation logic, calculation logic, and business rules.

3. Review Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand business requirements and testing scope.

4. Design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution plans covering data migration, reporting, and business process validation.

5. Execute UAT, regression testing, retesting, and parallel run testing activities.

6. Perform source-to-target reconciliation, including:

7. Validate migrated datasets, reports, dashboards, KPIs, calculations, filters, aggregations, and report outputs against legacy systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.

8. Validate end-to-end data flow across ingestion, transformation, data pipelines, consumption layers, and reporting platforms.

9. Identify, investigate, reproduce, and document defects with clear evidence, root cause analysis, and business impact assessment.

10. Assess whether issues are related to system defects, data quality issues, migration defects, transformation logic errors, report logic discrepancies, or requirement gaps.

11. Perform regression testing and retesting following defect resolution.

12. Support reconciliation sign-off, testing sign-off, and production readiness activities.

Required Skills & Experience
