Job summary

Tech Aalto Pte ltd is seeking a Data Governance & Quality Lead to manage large datasets, design governance policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with SQL, Python or R, and BI tools.

You will develop data dictionaries, metadata, and quality metrics, mentor junior analysts, and stay current with industry trends to ensure data integrity and security across projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree/qualifications in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Experience with data management tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Professional certifications in data management (CDMP; DAMA-CDMP) are a plus.
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize large datasets, including data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, and storage.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions meeting business requirements.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and documentation to support data management and analysis.
• Develop and maintain data quality metrics and processes to monitor and improve data quality.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, including mentoring junior data analysts.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data management and analysis.
• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
