Job summary

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a Data Governance Officer to support the enterprise data catalogue and related governance initiatives. You will collaborate with business, technology and policy stakeholders to improve data discoverability and accountability, and promote responsible use of data across MAS.

In this 1-year contract, you will develop and operationalise governance processes, provide advisory on Whole-of-Government requirements, and help strengthen data governance

Qualifications

• Qualifications in data management, information management, information systems, computer science or public policy.
• Experience in data governance, data management or related role.
• Familiar with governance concepts: ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data quality, classification.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms or catalogue preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Whole-of-Government data policies and frameworks.
• Able to engage stakeholders across business, policy and technology and translate requirements.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of MAS enterprise data catalogue and related governance initiatives.
• Develop and operationalise data governance processes, standards and controls.
• Advise on Whole-of-Government data governance requirements (classification, protection, access, sharing, lifecycle).
• Facilitate adoption of governance practices including ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data quality and access governance.
• Review data-related risks, governance submissions and projects; recommend measures to address gaps.
• Support guidance materials, communications and training to strengthen governance awareness across MAS.
