Job Title: Data Engineer / Architect
Summary: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Architect to design and implement robust data solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration, along with a strong understanding of data governance and architecture best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop enterprise-level data architecture, including data models, databases, and data warehouses.
Define and enforce data standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Architect and implement data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
Ensure data quality, security, and scalability across the organization.
Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and platforms.
Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to support data-driven initiatives.
Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in data architecture and technologies.
Minimum Requirements:
Prior experience in Public Services will be ideal (optional).
Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, stepping in to solve problems directly when needed.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
Strong expertise in data modeling, database design (relational and non-relational), and data warehousing.
Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and data integration technologies.
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
