Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd seeks a data engineer to analyze existing tables and workflows, map source to target systems, and develop SQL-based pipelines for migration and reporting. You will work closely with business users to define data lineage, rules, and validation processes.

The role emphasizes ETL development, data migration, and support for data governance within a banking/financial services context, leveraging Hive and Impala for large-scale data processing in Singapore.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, data migration, ETL development, reporting or data management.
• Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing tables, reports, datasets and data processing workflows from legacy data marts.
• Understand scripts, transformation logic and reporting methodologies.
• Perform source to target mapping and document data lineage and rules.
• Develop and enhance SQL scripts and data pipelines for migration and reporting.
• Validate migrated datasets and support UAT and governance.
