Job summary

VUI Systems Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design scalable data solutions supporting PIPL program requirements. You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines with Python and SQL, and manage data lakehouse architectures using Iceberg and Snowflake.

You will also build a China data environment on Alibaba Cloud for analytics and ML workloads, automate data processes, and optimize pipeline performance. Collaboration with architects and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Data Engineering/Big Data environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg.
• Proven Snowflake data warehousing and analytics experience.
• Advanced Python and SQL development skills.
• Experience designing/building ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
• Solid understanding of data lake, lakehouse, and data warehouse architectures.
• Experience with Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud).
• Knowledge of Spark or Flink.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and automation.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in regulatory or data privacy environments (PIPL/GDPR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data engineering solutions for PIPL program.
• Build and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and modern frameworks.
• Develop and manage data lakehouse architectures using Apache Iceberg and Snowflake.
• Create and support a China data environment on Alibaba Cloud for analytics and ML workloads.
• Automate data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting processes.
• Optimize pipelines, storage, and query performance for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, leads, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data platform issues.
• Contribute to DataOps, CI/CD, and automation best practices.
