Job Description Summary: The Data Engineer is responsible for managing and operating Tableau, Tableau Bridge Server, Databricks, Dbt, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, AWS DWS, AWS AppFlow, PowerBI. The engineer will work closely with the customer and team lead to manage and operate the cloud data platform.

Job Complexity:

This role requires extensive problem-solving skills, the ability to research issues, determine root causes, and implement resolutions. It involves researching documentation from Databricks, AWS, Tableau, etc., to identify and resolve issues. Prioritizing issues and multitasking are essential.

Experience/Education:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 2-4 years of hands-on experience configuring and managing Tableau, Databricks, and SQL-based data analytics solutions. Experience with Tableau, Databricks, and SQL Data Warehouse environments is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau, Tableau Bridge Server, Databricks, SSRS/SSIS, AWS DWS, AWS AppFlow, PowerBI.
  • Ability to read and write SQL and stored procedures.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively and work collaboratively in small groups.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting incidents, collecting logs, and investigating root causes.
  • Creating and updating runbooks and documentation.
  • Monitoring configuration changes and maintaining entitlements governance.
  • Handling communication, escalation, and coordination with stakeholders and off-site resources.
  • Managing change requests and user requests, including creating or updating knowledge base articles.
  • Conducting incident and problem management, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures.
