We are looking for a Data Engineer to join us! If selected, you'll be hired as a contract employee.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and flow.
2. Design, build, launch, and maintain efficient and reliable large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks.
3. Integrate and collate data silos in a scalable and compliant manner.
4. Collaborate with Project Managers, Frontend Developers, UX Designers, and Data Analysts to build scalable data-driven products.
5. Develop backend APIs and work on databases to support applications.
6. Bridge the gap between engineering and analytics.
7. Work in an Agile environment practicing Continuous Integration and Delivery.
8. Engage in pair programming and code reviews with fellow developers.

Requirements

1. Experience building production-grade data pipelines, ETL/ELT data integration, with proper documentation.
2. Proficiency in data cleaning and transformation tools (e.g., pandas, PySpark, SQL).
3. Knowledge of database design and experience with various databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
4. Understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
5. Knowledge of REST APIs and web protocols.
6. Proficiency in at least two scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
7. Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments.
8. Interest in data engineering within cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
9. Familiarity with data modeling, Data Marts, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses.
10. Ability to create comprehensive data dictionaries and ERDs.
11. Experience collaborating with stakeholders to develop data solutions.
12. Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau and containerization with Docker.
