Job summary

RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer focused on Business Intelligence and dashboards. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data models to support accurate reporting and analytics for multiple business units.

You will work with SQL, AWS Redshift, Tableau and other BI tools to deliver near real-time dashboards, translate business needs into technical requirements, and ensure data quality and governance across the data platform.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in a data engineering, BI, or data analytics role.
Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and modelling.
Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboard development.
Experience working with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred - Amazon Redshift, S3, AWS Glue).
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Experience in data modelling for analytics (star schema, dimensional modelling).

Responsibilities

Partner with business units across the organization to understand their data and reporting needs.
Facilitate requirements workshops and interviews to document data requirements, KPIs, and reporting use cases.
Translate business requirements into clear data specifications for the data engineering team.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical data platform team.
Design and develop data transformation logic to prepare curated datasets for reporting and analytics consumption.
Build and maintain data models in Amazon Redshift or the curated/consumption zone of the Data Lake.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness for all reporting datasets.
Apply data quality checks and validation rules to support trustworthy business insights.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau (connected via Amazon Redshift or S3).
Create near-real-time operational dashboards, ad-hoc analysis views, and scheduled reports tailored to business unit needs.
Ensure dashboards are intuitive and accessible for non-technical end users.
Iterate on dashboard designs based on user feedback and evolving business requirements.
Document data definitions, business glossary terms, and dashboard logic in the AWS Glue Data Catalogue.
Maintain clear documentation of data sources, transformation logic, and report specifications.
Support self-service analytics by enabling business users to discover and access data independently.
