Data Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data systems, ensuring seamless data integration, and supporting business intelligence efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data processes and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Administrator, or in a similar role .

Strong SQL proficiency and experience working with MySQL or other relational databases.

Expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes , data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

Proficiency in Excel , including advanced features like macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas .

Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl ) for data processing and automation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Data Management & Development:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data management systems .

Ensure that data systems align with business needs and industry best practices .

Integrate new data technologies and tools to enhance existing infrastructure.

Develop and maintain custom software components and analytics applications.

Database & Spreadsheet Optimization:

Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies for performance and reliability.

Manage and maintain MySQL databases , ensuring data integrity, security, and efficiency .

Leverage advanced Excel techniques to analyze, manipulate, and transform datasets effectively.

ETL & Data Processing:

Develop and implement ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.

Automate manual data workflows and optimize data delivery and infrastructure .

Enhance data aggregation, mapping, and transformation for improved reporting and analytics.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide technical solutions.

Build data tools and infrastructure to support analytics and data science teams.

Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations that highlight key trends and insights.

Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to drive data initiatives.

Provide support and training to end-users on database and spreadsheet functionalities.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, tools, and workflows for knowledge sharing.
