Data Centre Project Management Leader

Job summary

Jobtailor in Singapore seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-million-dollar thermal management initiatives, including chiller, airside, CDU, and controls deployments. You will drive on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding strict safety and environmental standards.

In a matrix environment, you will coordinate across service, commissioning, logistics, sales, and operations, implement the Datacenter PM Playbook, and establish key performance indicators. PMP/PRINCE2 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 12+ years of HVAC/industrial project management experience.
• 3+ years of data centre experience.
• PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and accurately to varied audiences orally and in writing.
• Comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Process-focused with good financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Direct execution of multi-million-dollar thermal management projects across chiller, airside, CDU, and controls domains.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to precise technical specifications.
• Collaborate in a matrix structure with service, commissioning, logistics, sales, and operations teams.
• Align projects with global safety, environmental, and mission-critical standards.
• Document and implement the Datacenter Project Management Playbook across the project lifecycle.
• Create repeatable project management processes across customers and geographies.
• Establish and track operational and financial KPIs.
• Oversee Level 1–5 commissioning from FAT to IST.
• Lead BMS and DCIM integration with client platforms.
• Lead post-project reviews and integrate lessons learned into SOPs.
• Implement Lean Project Management to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Use project data to identify supply-chain and site-installation bottlenecks.
• Act as primary contact for senior stakeholders, hyperscale clients, and contractors.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues.
• Manage change-order processes and long-lead logistics to meet schedules.
• Provide functional leadership to project managers and engineers from contract award to handover.

• Use project data to identify supply-chain and site-installation bottlenecks
• Act as primary contact for senior stakeholders, lead engineers, hyperscale clients, consultants, and general contractors
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex technical or logistical issues
• Manage change-order processes and long-lead logistics to meet customer schedules
• Provide functional leadership to project managers and engineers overseeing cooling solution deployments from contract award through commissioning and site handover
