Job summary

OCBC Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Facilities Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Loyang-based data centre. You will ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effective performance of critical infrastructure including power, cooling, and monitoring systems.

You will lead 24/7 facilities management, coordinate with vendors, drive continuous improvement, and implement green initiatives to optimise energy use while maintaining service commitments to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in Data Centre support and facilities management within a Critical Infrastructure environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of DC systems: generators, UPS, fuel, switchgear, chillers, CRAC, fire systems, BMS.
• Ability to work under stress with resilience and integrity.
• Experience implementing DC standards and automation for productivity.

Responsibilities

• 24/7 operational support and oversight of the data centre facility.
• Monitor and maintain building services for optimal performance.
• Lead sustainability initiatives, focusing on power and efficiency.
• Manage maintenance and daily operations to ensure availability and service commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement and measure KPIs.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors to ensure safety and reliability.
• Plan and execute major planned and emergency maintenance.
