Company’s Profile

Our client, a security solutions provider has been established for more than 25 years, with a strong reputation in the industry. They specialize in delivering comprehensive turn-key security systems, from design and integration to maintenance and support and serve clients in government, trade and commercial sectors. They are now looking for Data Center Engineer (Inventory & Asset) to join their expanding team!

Location: North / West

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned operational tasks efficiently and escalate issues appropriately during periods of high workload or critical incidents.
  • Collaborate with vendors to initiate and manage warranty claims for defective hardware. This includes handling data entry, packaging, shipping, and tracking returns in accordance with established Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Apply knowledge of processes and sound judgment to perform responsibilities independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of how day-to-day tasks contribute to overall Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) outcomes.
  • Ensure all asset records and logical inventory data are accurately maintained across inventory systems, including configuration management databases and asset repositories.
  • Oversee precise physical inventory tracking, staging, and labeling of equipment.
  • Support inventory reconciliation efforts and assist in reporting any discrepancies.
  • Carry out secure destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs) in line with Microsoft policies and agreed SLAs.
  • Monitor stock levels, notify supervisors of low inventory, and escalate any supply-related concerns when necessary.
  • Adhere to all relevant security protocols and data management policies to ensure compliance and protect organizational assets.

Requirements:

  • Min. NITEC cert in Information Technology (IT), Computer Engineering, Building / Facility Management or any other related field
  • Min 1 year experience in warehouse & supply chain in IT environment / inventory management (bonus if work in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 datacenter environment)
  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance.
  • Able to communicate effectively
