Job summary

Google is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate, monitor, and support electrical and mechanical systems across our data centers. You will inspect, maintain, and repair critical data center components, ensuring uptime and safety while adhering to environmental standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, assisting senior technicians, and coordinating with contractors. This role supports the AI and Infrastructure teams delivering scalable, reliable computing power worldwide.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of electrical experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and use safety equipment per guidelines.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems.
• Provide daily assistance reading blueprints/schematics and tours of systems.
• Manage uptime and maintenance of UPS, generators, distribution, and control systems.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
