Job summary

ByteDance invites an experienced Data Center Design professional to join our Asia Pacific team. You will contribute to the planning, design, and deployment of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and critical systems, across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal and external teams, adherence to design standards, and involvement in green energy initiatives to support carbon-neutrality. Some travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant large-scale data center or mission critical building design experience.
• Some travel to data center sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Support data center site selection related task and evaluate technical compliance of design submissions.
• Collaborate with external providers and internal experts on design review of critical systems for data center compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to incorporate requirements into data center infrastructure and data hall fit-out.
• Follow up on data center construction and fit-out works.
• Assist testing and commissioning of critical systems and handover to operations.
